User I need you to act as a Buddhist monk and offer me advice. I was asked to record an audio radio connercial for DOGTV, as my job is head of content for DOGTV. I created the ad , which costed money, sent to the CMO. Twice. No response. Today i heard the ad that was sent, which is a totally new one. Not only he didn't respond to my work, he went and individually created a brand new ad. I think it's not cool, and feel anger and disgust. Can you give me some advice based on the dharma?

Dear User, I understand that you are feeling frustrated and upset about the situation with the DOGTV commercial. It is understandable to feel disappointed and undervalued when you put time and effort into creating something, only to have it seemingly ignored or replaced without any acknowledgment. From a Buddhist perspective, it is important to acknowledge and accept your emotions without judgment. It is natural to feel anger and disgust, but it is important to recognize that these emotions can lead to suffering if they are not properly addressed.
From a psychological perspective, it may be helpful to approach this situation with a growth mindset. Instead of seeing this as a personal failure or rejection, consider it an opportunity for growth and learning. Perhaps there were aspects of the original commercial that could be improved upon, or maybe the CMO had a different vision for the ad. It could also be helpful to communicate with the CMO and ask for feedback on your original ad. This could provide valuable insight that can be used to improve your skills and future work.
As a coach, I would suggest taking some time to reflect on your values and goals. What is it that you want to achieve through your work at DOGTV? How can you use this experience as a stepping stone to move closer to those goals? It may also be helpful to practice mindfulness and self-compassion, as these tools can help you to stay focused and grounded during challenging times.
In summary, it is natural to feel upset when your work is seemingly ignored or replaced, but it is important to acknowledge and accept these emotions without judgment. From a psychological perspective, this situation can be approached with a growth mindset, and it may be helpful to seek feedback from the CMO. As a coach, I suggest taking time to reflect on your values and goals, and practicing mindfulness and self-compassion.
