I understand that you are experiencing some discomfort and difficulty controlling your feelings towards a lady in your dance class. It can be challenging to manage our emotions, especially when they involve other people. You have already taken a great step in trying to focus on your breath during class to become more aware of your feelings. It's important to acknowledge that it's okay to feel this way and that it's a natural part of being human. It's also important to remember that we cannot control other people's actions, only our own reactions to them. From a Buddhist perspective, it's essential to practice compassion towards ourselves and others. This means being kind and understanding towards ourselves when we experience difficult emotions and extending the same kindness to others. It's also helpful to remember impermanence - that all things, including our feelings, are temporary and will eventually pass. From a psychological perspective, it may be helpful to explore any underlying reasons for your discomfort towards this lady. Perhaps there are unresolved past experiences or beliefs that are contributing to these feelings. As for specific coaching advice, I would suggest continuing to focus on your breath during class and practicing self-compassion when you experience difficult emotions. It may also be helpful to try to interact with the lady in a friendly and respectful manner to get to know her better and potentially shift your perspective. Additionally, exploring any underlying reasons for your discomfort through therapy or self-reflection may also be beneficial. Remember that it's a process, and it's okay to take things one step at a time.
