Dear User, I can understand that it can be challenging to deal with difficult emotions, especially when they arise in a setting where you are trying to focus on your practice. It can be frustrating to feel like you can't control your feelings, and it's okay to acknowledge that. From a Buddhist perspective, it's important to remember that all emotions are impermanent and that they arise and pass away like everything else. It's essential to practice non-attachment to these feelings and not get too caught up in them. From a psychological perspective, it can be helpful to understand the root of your negative feelings towards this lady in your dance class. Is it something she said or did that triggered you? Are you projecting your insecurities onto her? Understanding the root cause can help you address the issue more effectively. Now, as for what you can do further, I would suggest some additional practices to supplement your breath awareness during class. One helpful practice is called "loving-kindness meditation," where you focus on sending love and compassion towards yourself and others, including this lady in your dance class. This practice can help cultivate positive emotions and release negative ones. Additionally, it may be helpful to speak with this lady and try to understand her perspective better. Perhaps she is also struggling with something, and you can find common ground. Finally, it's important to be patient with yourself and remember that it takes time to cultivate inner peace and emotional regulation through mindfulness practice.
