Dear friend, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to live with multiple personality disorder. It can be a challenging and confusing experience to have different parts of yourself with such contrasting emotions. You must feel like you are constantly switching between two entirely different worlds. It is understandable that you are unsure which personality to embrace and when. From a Buddhist perspective, it is crucial to understand that all emotions are temporary and transient. They come and go like clouds in the sky. Emotions do not define us, and they are not a part of our true nature. Therefore, it is essential to cultivate a sense of detachment from our emotions. We can observe them without judgment and learn to let them go. From a psychological perspective, it is essential to integrate both personalities and work towards healing and wholeness. It would be best to consult with a licensed therapist who can help you navigate your emotions and develop a plan to manage them better. You can learn coping skills and techniques to ground yourself during times when you feel overwhelmed. As for your question, it is not advisable to switch between optimism and pessimism based on the time of day. It would be best to work on integrating both personalities and embracing all aspects of yourself. You can cultivate a sense of balance by practicing mindfulness and self-compassion. You can remind yourself that you are not your emotions, and they do not define you. In conclusion, I understand that living with multiple personality disorder can be a challenging and confusing experience. However, it is possible to learn to manage your emotions and cultivate a sense of balance. It would be best to consult with a licensed therapist who can guide you through the process of healing and integration. Remember, you are not alone, and there is hope for a brighter future.
