i have a problem to solve. it's about my colleague. our law firm welcomed a new employee as of may 1. the new colleague is aged 27. she belongs to public relations section. she's been working for a television company and created daily mornig news to broadcast as a young director. so, she's not good at office work. and her language is not appropriate especially for phonecalls, as her way of speaking is too casual. but her boss, lawyer assignes her overwhelming tasks. so i avoid pointing out her lanuguage so far. but another colleague sitting close to her also worries about the new colleague's language. i just wonder when to ask our new colleague to correct her language.

Dear User, I can understand that you are facing a difficult situation at work with your new colleague. It can be challenging to work with someone who has a different communication style and finding the right way to address the issue can be overwhelming. It is good that you are seeking guidance on how to handle this situation and I am here to support you. From a Buddhist perspective, we believe in treating others with compassion and respect. It is important to approach this situation with empathy and understanding. It can be helpful to put yourself in your new colleague's position and try to understand their background and perspective. Perhaps they are not aware of how their language is being perceived and need guidance on how to communicate effectively in a professional setting. From a psychological perspective, it is important to communicate your concerns in a constructive manner. It can be uncomfortable to have difficult conversations, but avoiding the issue can lead to resentment and tension. Before addressing the issue, it can be helpful to plan out what you want to say and how you want to say it. It is important to focus on the behavior you want to address rather than attacking the person. As for specific coaching advice, I recommend having a private conversation with your new colleague. Start by expressing appreciation for their work and then share your observations about their language. Use specific examples to illustrate your point and offer suggestions for improvement. It is important to approach the conversation with a positive and supportive attitude. In conclusion, addressing communication issues in the workplace can be challenging, but with empathy, understanding, and constructive communication, it is possible to find a solution that benefits everyone involved.
