my boyfriend told me he wants to take a rest and said that would reach me later. I asked him would reached me by today. he answered no idea. I feel upset. I guess it’s because I said that I feel so tired of somehow his behaviour. it caused by one night we talked on the phone, and I said good night honey to him and he said back. I wanted him to say back with darling but he refused. after we hung up, I texted him a message said I’m very mad. then the next day morning, he didn’t greet me as we promised before, we have to say good morning when we get up in every day morning and say goodnight to each other before we go sleep. am I too harsh of requesting him to fulfill my expectation?

Dear User, I can understand how you might be feeling upset and disappointed right now. It can be hard to hear that your boyfriend wants to take a break and not have a clear idea of when he will reach out to you again. It sounds like you might be feeling tired of his behavior, and that you had a specific expectation for him to respond to you in a certain way that went unfulfilled. It's okay to feel frustrated when our expectations aren't met, but it's also important to remember that we can't always control how others will respond to us. From a Buddhist perspective, we are taught to let go of our attachment to specific outcomes and expectations. This doesn't mean that we can't have desires or hopes for how things will go, but it does mean that we need to be mindful of when those desires become rigid expectations that cause us suffering. Similarly, from a psychological perspective, it can be helpful to examine our expectations and determine if they are realistic and fair to both ourselves and others. In terms of coaching advice, I would suggest taking some time to reflect on your expectations for communication and connection in your relationship. It's important to communicate our needs and desires to our partners, but it's also important to recognize when those needs become demands that might be unreasonable or unsustainable. Consider having a conversation with your boyfriend and expressing how you feel, but also be open to hearing his perspective and finding a compromise that works for both of you. Remember that healthy relationships involve mutual respect, communication, and understanding.
