I used 90% of time and energy in work things that are not going well that I should only spend 20% time on. And I have 80% of other work that's need to be done. I am so frustrated.

It sounds like you are experiencing a significant amount of frustration and overwhelm with how your time and energy are being allocated in your work life. This is a common challenge, and it's understandable that you might feel stuck when things aren't going as planned. It's important to acknowledge the effort you've been putting into your work, even when the outcomes aren't what you'd hoped for. Please know that your feelings are valid, and it takes courage to recognize and articulate this imbalance.
From a Buddhist perspective, the concept of mindfulness can be particularly helpful in your situation. Mindfulness encourages us to be fully present in the moment and to observe our thoughts and emotions without judgment. By practicing mindfulness, you may find it easier to notice when you're spending too much time on certain tasks, allowing you to gently bring your focus back to what truly matters. This practice can help you cultivate patience and acceptance with yourself, reducing the frustration that comes from unmet expectations.
Psychologically, it's worth exploring the Pareto Principle, which suggests that 80% of results come from 20% of efforts. This principle aligns with your observation and can serve as a reminder to prioritize tasks that yield the most significant impact. Reflect on which tasks are essential and contribute most effectively to your goals. Often, re-evaluating priorities and setting clear boundaries can alleviate the pressure of feeling overwhelmed and help streamline your workflow.
To move forward, consider setting aside some time each week to review and plan your tasks. Identify the key projects or responsibilities that align with your long-term objectives and allocate more focused time to these areas. Practice saying "no" or delegating tasks that do not require your immediate attention or expertise. Additionally, consider implementing time management techniques, such as the Pomodoro Technique or time-blocking, to maintain a balanced approach to your workload. Finally, remember to be kind to yourself throughout this process and celebrate small victories along the way.
